Spicy but delicious! Costumer service is excellent and fast! Like really, really fast! The place is clean and very well organized with a variety of delicious dishes. Micheladas are just as in Mexico city and the hole experience is as if you were eating in Mexico. Love it!
MoreCame in for a quick bite and a drink... NOT Disappointed! Sampler was good and more than enough for two people. The Margaritas were great... ended up having two...
MoreGood drinks, good food, good atmosphere (outside)
Tasty food right next to the cinema! I love coming here before seeing a show at cine arts. 4 stars because it's a little pricey for what you get, but the food is pretty good!
MoreI've been going there for the last 24 years I love it the ladies are beautiful
The Food was delicious. Service could have been better though
The enchiladas were amazing! Great atmosphere. Great hostess and servers - will definitely come back!
MoreI was a little surprised at the 3.4 rating especially after my wife and experienced the amazing food and friendly service. The carne asada tacos were incredible! Some of the best I've had. The medium salsa was a perfect spice, but not feverishly hot. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
MoreService Not so much. Need to be served full portions. The is No side menu for small appetites. Food was great... Would go again.
MoreFood tastes awesome and the salsas are spicy and delicious. My only negative feedback is that the quantity of food is slightly less.
MoreDelicious food specially the arroz mexicano ir arroz con plátano. You can't miss as starter the guacamole, it's made rigth in front of you.
MoreOverall, I had an enjoyable meal here! It's rather interesting to see it right across from the other Mexican restaurant Jardin's, which seemed a lot more bustling compared to here. This gave it quite a relaxing but still airy vibe. I had a great meal overall, though I felt that the complimentary chips felt similar to store-bought ones, sadly. Otherwise, not bad, albeit a bit pricey. :)
MoreFajitas are amazing. Prices fit santana row. Quality food! Fresh home.made tortillas!
MoreFood was delicious. Wait staff attentive and patient. Group of seven that dribbled in...
MoreFantastic place! Tableside guac is great and the portions are huge. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for Mexican food.
MoreGood service but food is bland.
This used to be a favorite for us. We went this time and half way through dinner the power went out. Nothing the restaurant can do. And it didn’t bother us either. When we then left, still in the dark, we forgot a pair of sunglasses. Returned to get them, and they were gone. The way we were treated by personnel was very rude and uncooperative. Big disappointment.
MoreTried the guacamole it was ok but not very flavorful. I also had the carne asada tacos. I had to wait almost 25 mins because they ran out of the beef they use to make the carne. The meat was dry and not that flavorful. No, discount or offer to reduce my bill was given. I had heard good things but based on my experience I will not go back. Ohh, well.
MoreThe food was wonderful! I had the chicken pozole; it's flavorful and not too spicy. The radishes are a nice touch. It's in the upscale Santana Row. The waitress was attentive but not hovering. We went for brunch and everyone in our party loved the food. I'll be back!
MoreExcellent dinner tonight! Always good food, but I have to say honestly in the past the service has been iffy...sometimes okay other time is not, but tonight Wow! Our waiter was outstanding! Thanks excellent service! Waters topped off...and even brought us the pitcher of water that we requested. We had a huge variety of food and each dish was outstanding! Tonight's experience was absolutely five star. Highly recommended.
MoreSuprisingly large portions, good food, and reasonable service make this a worthwhile stop.
MoreNice room. Food and service poor.
Great service! The staff was very helpful for our large party
Friendly place with small bar. Popular. Food OK And prices reasonable
Great food! Get the fish tacos. Service very good as well
Its so special experience to enjoy Mexican food. Yummy or.. Sa vulo so...haha
The bartenders didn't try and serve me until I got up to leave. Even then they didn't say a word, they just looked at me. No offer of food or courteousness, and any reason I may have had to return has dissipated.
MoreUmmm...yummm! Very tasty, fresh food. Nice cold beer. Noisy as heck. A little bit on the pricey side. But yummmmmmm...
MoreI’ve been going to Consuelo for 10 years and decided to take some friends from out of town there this past Thursday. Our friends had the enchiladas and tacos and both came down with food poisoning. My wife and I had the steak and felt fine the next day. When we called the restaurant the following day to report the issue they said no one else reported having food poisoning so there was nothing they could do. I plan to report the issue to the Health Department on Monday in hopes this does not happen to future customers. I will not eat here again.
MoreFood poising Warning!!! We had guests visiting from out of town and we brought them to Consuelo. Unfortunately they both got food poisoning after eating here. They were throwing up all night and it ruined their entire trip. Upon calling the restaurant to report this issue, their manager (named Ortencia) did not even apologize. She said she does not believe us and can't even give us a refund. We will report this to the health department.
MoreGood ambiance and authentic Mexican food
Really terrible food and EXTREMELY overpriced. $15 for lousy guacamole. Food was bland and flavorless. Overworked/tired/careless waitress didnt get the order right either. Also extremely stale chips and salsa was not very good. Might satisfy a white tourist.
MoreLovely lunch today out on the patio. The food was delicious and the table side guacamole was wonderful as well. I had the Chile rellano and it was very cheesy and delicious! A lovely stop on my business vacation!
MoreMy favorite Mexican restaurant on the bay area, staff is very helpful, the restaurant is very clean and serves everything very fast and well done just as if you were in Mexico city but much better. This is a total experience of Mexican cuisine in a nice place and environment to enjoy the rest of the day or night. For some reason it is closed, there is not advertising when it should be open again.
MoreThe guacamole is made to order at your table! Staff is so welcoming, great tasting food and drinks, service is prompt.
MoreLarge family-style booths allowing for group meals over good Mexican fare.
Wow very good food, place and nice service. Besides that a good place to o choose more than 100 tequila brands and other kind of hard licours.
MoreWent on July 4th. Orders happy hour items that was found on the door. ( bringing us in the falling apart restaurant) paint chipping on ceiling. Host was on her phone when we walked in,told us to sit anywhere. Ordered happy hour items because that’s what we came in for. Took pics of the poster outside, showed the waiter Mateo what I wanted from it.wewere charged full price, no happy hour for us because we didn’t sit at the bar. Then the manager comes and says we don’t do it on the forth of July. Sign had no exclusions, blackouts NOTHING!!!! Contacted better business burreu, didn’t pay a thing for anything. The difference was 9 dollars of a 54$ bill. Instead I paid 0$ for everything because of their bad service. If you have a problem with them contact the bbb because they already have claims against them. They were rude and inattentive. Order ceviche, took 30 mins. Unreasonablely slow. The food was good. But not good enough to bring me back to the Delapatated buliding with crappy service
MoreThe atmosphere is very nice, but everything else- terrible. The food was horrible. We had 4 adults all had an entree' and we had two appetizers. The food was bland and honestly, disgusting. The service terrible, but the waitress asked us for a 20% tip. Yes, she asked us. We gave 15% and I struggled with that decision. The total for this disgusting food- 175.00. I don't mind spending money on a great meal, but this was terrible. Oh, and they don't serve frozen drinks, but had a full frozen dispenser behind the bar? I would avoid this restaurant if possible. Many other great places on Santana Row to grab a bite to eat!!
MoreIt was great food. I really liked it. They had a lot of different foods to choose from.
MoreI love this restaurant when I want well made Mexican food. I often get the camarones a la diabla. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Nice spicy sauce. Good fluffy rice. But everything I've had here has been great. Overall quality is excellent. The presentation is well done. The staff has always been consistently good for me. I can't say a single bad thing about this place. Looking forward to my next visit.
MoreWe stumbled across this place when visiting Santana Row. We tried guacamole, ceviche and a seafood salad that was a special. All perfect for the occasion and a great lunch idea for 2. Oh and there salsas were delicious - be careful with the salsa verde - my favorite, but hot, hot, hot. I am still curious what they did with the orange one, it had a nice fruity flavor in it, maybe a bit of mango.
Moremediocre mexican food. I hate places that try to make mexican too nice.
Good was good but service and process were not so much
Way over-priced but good food and great service
Ask for the mole enchiladas and a guava margarita, guacamole and you'll enjoy! The tostadas are actually very good as well.
MoreThe food was not bad but I wouldn't call it authentic Mexican food.
Amazing food!! The best Mexican rice ever!! Even the Margaritas were fantastic.. The employees were extremely welcoming and sweet :)
MoreEnjoyed our Girls night here! Super delicious guacamole- prepared and served at your table. The fajitas was tasty. I'm glad we shared because it was a lot of food. My go-to drink here is the Caipirinha.
MoreNot sure why this restaurant isn't rated higher. They probably had some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. We tried some other dishes too and they were really good as well. Service was the only thing that lacked, other than that I'd come here again.
